There are very few industries that are not being shaken top to bottom by technological advances.  Technology has the potential to enable new, smaller players to compete with business monoliths who, until recently, would have been described as ‘too big to fail’.

Size is no longer enough to ensure an organisation’s profitability in a world where a team of five people can shout as loudly, move as quickly and work as hard as a business of five thousand. Truly innovative firms are focusing on digital transformation and business architecture as a way to grow while retaining agility – an asset they realise is now the key determinant of success.

The STRATEGY JOURNEY is a framework setup to help organisations of all shapes and sizes build this business agility using five (5) models. The tools and techniques from the five (5) models, will not only empower businesses to accelerate their transformation efforts, but also help them to bridge that gap between strategy design and strategy execution.

Learn what is The Strategy Journey framework and how it can help you build business agility.

I’ve previously written about the method in my blog THE STRATEGY JOURNEY: FROM MISSION TO TRANSFORMATION and am now so please to share a video that goes into the 5 stages of the THE STRATEGY JOURNEY framework in more detail.
Watch this introductory video (above)!

5 Models that enable strategy execution

In strategy, the best designs are nothing without implementation, so EXECUTION is key. THE STRATEGY JOURNEY framework has been designed to facilitate the process to build that business agility in your business and across your organisation, whatever its size.

The method doesn’t just teach you how to plan out your business like a typical business plan or WHAT to do or experiment as part of your business model. The five (5) model framework is a full guidance system that provides the HOW, WHERE and WHEN guidance to really shape your business with a blueprint, game plan and a roadmap to bring it all to life and to keep transforming in the ever changing digital revolution that we live in today.

5 models in The Strategy Journey Framework

The Mission Model, how to form a bluerprint and game plan which is closely aligned to your goals to turn your business vision into reality.

The Business Model, how to define your customer model and proposition model to turn a profit and deliver ROI, while building assets and funding your business for growth.

The Value Model, how to differentiate your business through the value chain and the customer journey.

The Operating Model, learn to manage your team and optimise resources, including your people, processes, data and systems, as well as new digital technologies like AI and Blockchain, to deliver outcomes that align to your strategy.

The last model is the Transformation Model, in which the tools from The Strategy Journey framework help you to transform your business with agility and manage change in a way that ensures sustainability.

Based on real life experiences and case studies

The framework has been designed following my many years of experience across many industries from engineering and telecommunications, to finance and banking, to the public sector and beyond, and there is a global team of experts helping me to put really great case studies together, so that everyone can learn from real live examples who have embarked on successful strategy journeys, as well as the many mistakes made as well.

These case studies will be available soon via this blog (so subscribe), and my upcoming book, of the same name, co-authored with leading Operating Model expert Graham Christison, who has also recently left the corporate world, and his very senior position at a global bank, to join me in this venture to create the Stratability Academy, so that we can help businesses and organisations build the strategic capabilities to empower their strategy journeys.

Our collective experiences including those from the community of global experts, are based on real practical application in business – and this shown us, that understanding the THE STRATEGY JOURNEY framework can give you insights and intelligence into a business that you wouldn’t otherwise see, helping you to design and implement solutions that you wouldn’t otherwise be capable of delivering.
